Our classes and workshops offer a pottery experience for the beginner to the advanced potter. The APG instructors have over 20 years experience in teaching pottery.

Student Waivers: We require a student waiver completed for each course that you register for at APG. If you are registering for more than one person, please provide their name(s) in the Notes when Checking Out and direct them to this Student Waiver link.

Workshop - One Night on the Wheel
- Instructor James Thorne
- $95.00 plus HST (includes clay)
- Students need to bring their own aprons and towels.
If you’ve been wanting to try the pottery wheel, this evening is for you!
- In this 2.5-hour class, James will guide you through the fundamentals of wheel throwing — everything to get you started on your pottery journey.
- You’ll choose one of your creations to keep and James will trim and glaze it for you after class. Your finished piece will be ready for pick-up in about 4-5 weeks.
- No experience necessary — just bring your curiosity and creativity! Tools and clay included.

He graduated from Nipissing University in 2015 with his Bachelor of Fine Arts and completed an internship with the North Bay Potters Guild. James also operated his own art gallery for several years.
