Adult Handbuilding and Surface Design - Unique and Artful Drinkware with Lenka Acreman

  • 4 weeks
  • $243.00+HST, includes 1/2 bag of clay and use of studio tools and glazes
  • Students need to bring their own aprons and towels

This four week course will focus on creating unique and artful drinkware - pieces that are both functional and expressive.

  • Decorate your handbuilt forms with sgraffito and inlay techniques to create contrast, texture and depth.
  • Simply put: pieces that are fun, functional and fabulous.
  • No experience needed. Just curiosity and love for making something unique with your hands.

I was born and raised in Slovakia and immigrated to Canada in 1997. Growing up I always enjoyed different arts and crafts but only discovered ceramics and pottery here in Canada. I took my first pottery class in 2001 and it’s been my on and off passion ever since. Beside the love of creating something beautiful and useful out of a lump of clay,  that will potentially last hundreds of years, I also found a community of people whose friendship and knowledge I’ll treasure forever.
